The journey on
The new album The journey on represents the new stage of Valhala we knew. Before the music was expression of four sometimes five »goblins«, now it is the solo way of the leader, main composser and great guitar expert Jodl Gazvoda. In one moment the members of Valhala realised that they did all thay could as the group and everyone chose the own way. But Jodl Gazvoda chose the music and he went on - faithful to himself and we can say: he IS still Valhala like he allways was. His solo project The journey on represents his big step foward and up. The music became pure, subtile and rich and he gave it the new dimension: The journey on is not just instrumental album. Of course its instrumental side is powerful, surprising, sometimes it is deep emotional stream with changing colours of passion, wishes and dreams, sometimes is full of dark stars and queations which have to be answered. The one and only player is Jodl Gazvoda himself and the only author too – with three exceptions. On his solo album we can find three music parts we already know: Something and Here comes the sun by George Harrison and May you never composed by John Martin. And like we said before: first time in his long music career the first warrior of Valhala culoured the music with his vocal. He performed three well known songs on the way he felt inside and in his voice we can hear his faith on what he sings. More than that! He introduced himself in two parts with his own music sound and with his own words in his voice: The story and Tired warrior shows himself and his inital way on. All we can hear on the new album is crystalisation of music life and music paths he walked through the years – and that is true: it is his long and successful journey on!
